It's good to have a friend like Jim who can say without shame that he's really pissed at you. He can tell you what you did. He can tell you he thinks you're terrific, and you really believe him, and he can tell you that its not so good for you to think that you're terrific. He can tell you that you're arrogant, and you believe that too. And you say, "Thanks for the straight feedback." knowing that part of your mission is humility. You still have a long way to go, and you need unequivocal reminders occasionally. That's why it's good to have a friend like Jim.
